Joe's biking buddy Jeff Akeley was with him and accompanied Joe to the hospital. Joe will stay at the hospital overnight to monitor the effects of the concussion.
Joe does not remember what happened, however, he had recognized John when he was awake. Joe realized that he is in a hospital and remembers what month and year it is. He sleeps most of the time but is woken up every hour to assess his progress.
That could be a worse part being in the hospital. I remember the time that I was laid up in bed in the hospital, the nurses came in every 15 to 30 minutes and kept me up all night.
JOhn thinks that he could probably be able to take Joe home this morning. Joe's family in Florida has been informed on what happened to him this weekend.
From the Doctor's orders for JOe's recovery from this concussion to keep the brain calm, Joe cannot watch TV, read, talk on the phone, text or use a computer. He is to rest in a dimly lit, quite room.
