Do tattoos make a men more sexy?

Quick answer to that I would think is yes.  Of course, it depends on what the tattoo is.  If it's something normal, with a meaning, I'm totally up for it. But when it's a hello kitty he got when he was drunk, then he's just a fool.  A tattoo should be something you get for yourself, not to show it off, which a lot of men do.  If you get a tattoo, you have to love it for a long time so you know what you want.  I mean I have a tattoo on my back blade of comedy and tragedy masks with a ribbon around it saying laugh now cry later.  The reason for me getting this tattoo is because I enjoy performing arts.

TATTOO IS ART.  Simple as that.  They are just so beautiful to see don't get me wrong, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks so.  Have you ever seen a guy across the room that’s pretty decent looking, and then you catch a glimpse of a tattoo sneaking out from underneath his collar or sleeve. All of a sudden, this pretty decent looking man increases in attractive points. You know what I’m talking about; men with tattoos have that special something.

But why do men perceive with tattoos to be tougher or more handsome?  Many get tattoos to look cool or badass to impress but I really don't think a tattoo is going to change anything.

Sure, deep down we all know that tattoos hurt, but unless the ink is spectacular, even among tattooed folk, our first reaction is hardly to think about how much pain a person endured to 'earn their ink.'

We've created a culture that depicts tough, rugged men as having tattoos. When we portray men in any media, we tend to pick the handsome ones to display. So, over time, you get used to associating the chiseled physique and general good looks with the tattoos that often adorn these figures.

Coming out: Busted!

I never came out, but more like ratted so to speak.  I wasn't ready to come out at 21.

Twenty-five years ago, on an Easter the family gathered around the apartment having a good time.  Behind my back, my brother went looking for playboy magazines in my bedroom and instead he saw male porn magazines like Honcho, Torso, and Inches.  He talked to me with the door closed where I confided in him that I was gay, I couldn't deny it since he found the gay magazines. He thought it was a phase I was going through.  He just wasn't convinced until I showed him my journal, which I had been writing about my homosexuality.

Moments later my name was called in the bedroom by my mother.  I went into the bedroom and the door was closed behind me.  I didn't know my brother was behind the door.  She confronted me about the gay magazines.

Awkward moment!

Right there I knew I was busted.  No thanks to my brother because he ended up telling my mother and the word got around at the end of the day with the family.

The next day all our friends knew.  They all were comfortable about it but it was taking my mother awhile to understand it and eventually accepted.  My father on the other hand, I'm pretty sure he knows because today he is convinced I am adopted.

Thank you member for submitting your coming out story.

Happy St Patricks Day

Happy Saint Patricks Day !

Saint Patrick's Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, and the British Overseas Territory of Montserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish diaspora around the world, especially in Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand. Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated in more countries than any other national festival. Modern celebrations have been greatly influenced by those of the Irish diaspora, particularly those that developed in North America. In recent years, there has been criticism of Saint Patrick's Day celebrations for having become too commercialized and for fostering negative stereotypes of the Irish.

Enjoy and have fun.

Bear Sites

Wow, it amazes me how guys on bear sites are antisocial.  Sites like Grindr, Scruff, and Growlr.  All they care about is looking at photos and not connecting with other guys.  How are guys supposed to meet new friends if they don’t be social-able.  And when you do talk to them they are either looking for sex or they are not interested in you because they are single and they prefer others to be single as well.  If you are partnered they don’t want to know you and they wonder why you are on the site.  You try to talk to them and they never respond to any of your messages.

I noticed that after experimenting with how many guys had responded to my replies, which was very little amount.   And those who had responded to my replies are looking for partners and they don’t associate with guys who are partners, because in their minds they think the partnered guys are going behind their partner’s back.  For example:  I was talking to a guy who happens to be single and he did mention in his profile he was looking for friends.  So I wrote to him and we started corresponding back and forth then he mentioned that he wasn’t interested in partners talking to him.  I didn’t think that was a problem by talking to single guys.  But I told him that was fine.  But if that’s the case, then all his friends must be singled guys because he doesn’t want any association with partnered guys.  So in other words they don't have friends who are partners.  I'm just saying.

What’s the point of having social media on the bear sites if you can’t even socialize with other people?

Give that person a hug

Morning fellow bears!   I hope you are all having a wonderful start of the year. Today in this blog I am going to talk about hugs.  Yes, I know its a silly topic to talk about.  But when was the last time you hugged someone?  A hug means a lot of things as well as to a person: when they are sad, your happy to see that person, a lovely gift, love and affection, being thankful, eve a simple hello or goodbye.  These shows appreciation, comfort and gratitude.  A hug is probably the most widespread way of showing that you care.  Its such a wonderful feeling to wrap your arms around someone feeling their warm body pressed against yours.

When someone is feeling sad, make their day by giving them a hug.  This will show them that you understand they are going through and that you care.  So give that beautiful person a hug !
